I think I hit a plateau but I’m staying positive.

So, I started Buddyslim in April.  I was 212 pounds and gaining.  By my youngest daughters first birthday in August, I was 225 pounds.  I don’t really know what happened but the day I weighed myself and saw 225 something clicked in my head.  I weighed more at her 1st birthday than the day that I delivered her.  That was the day that I stopped with the excuses and I am pretty proud of my accomplishments so far.  I started using slimfast products and I found time to make it to the gym after my kids and husband go to sleep.  I am down to 184 pounds and my cholesterol is back in the normal range.  My weight loss has slowed down recently but I am trying to stay positive and I am still hitting the gym.  It is amazing that once going to the gym becomes a habit, you really do feel ”off” if you miss a day.  I never thought that there would be a day when I wanted to work out but it feels great.

Congratulations on your WL!! I agree with you, once exercise becomes part of your daily life, you feel “off” if you miss a workout!! Keep up the good job and don’t let a plateau discourage you, just keep at it!

I totally know what you mean. My son is 16 months and right now I only weigh 20 pounds less than the day before I had him. In otherwards I must look pregnant! I feel really inspired by what you said about how exercise can become part of your daily routine to the point that you miss it when you can’t make time for it. I hope I eventually get to that point. Oh and by the way have a Happy New Year!
